Below is an email that I received today, minus the womans email address, she
asked for it to be private...

Wondering if the HILES that you are looking for could end up being connected to this.
I am searching for anything on the MCKNIGHTs.
Below is the email
TO BETH: I have seen your McKnight postings on the internet and appreciate
all the
work you've done! I think we have a connection.
My great great grandmother, Pauline McKnight, was married to Andrew Hiles.
She was born about 1812. Their son, Jacob, was my great grandfather. His
brother Henry Hiles served in the Civil War, and it was Henry McKnight (b.
1828) of Dawson, who gave an affadavit for Henry's pension increase stating
that "he had known Henry Hiles since infancy." I'm thinking that Pauline
(or Mary Pauline) was Henry McKnight's sister. Perhaps she was one of the
five daughters born to Henry Mary.
William Mahala McKnight were living right next door to Andrew and Mary
P. in the 1850 census.
I'd appreciate your thoughts and would appreciate your keeping my email
address private.

I have an Andrew Hiles married to a Mary Pauline McKnihgt. Thay had three sons: Jacob, John, and Henry. Mary was born about 1812. I guess Andrew was about 20 yrs old when he married. that would make one of the children born about 1820-1813. Does this help?
