I am a descendant of Dozilia Pierre Simoneaux (1861-1949) his wife Mathilde Marie Landry (1868-1935) who were married Feb. 10, 1886 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville. Dozilia was a sugar cane farmer in Brulé St. Vincent (west of Paincourtville, LA).

Their CHILDREN:
Robella (1888) did not marry
Ezora (1890) m Louis Landry
Israel "Cap" (1892) m Lilia Simoneaux of Pierre Part, LA
Dolese Simoneaux (1894) m Elnora Dugas
Dolphine (abt 1897) died young
Edwidge (1897) m Anaise Landry
Alvin (1900) m Maude Keating *my great-grandparents
Angelo (1902) m Jeanne Frioux
Morris (1905) m Nobby ?
Bronier "Bruno" (1907) m1 Edna ?, m2 Cleo ?
Harry (1909) m Aloysia ?

Some of these families still live in Assumptino Parish, most however have moved elsewhere.

Hi my name is Dixie Landry Degrushe, My grandfather was Emile Dugas who was related to Ezilda Dugas Landry. I believe Emile's father was Taylor Dugas who was married to Lovincia Simoneaux Dugas, this is where I am related to the Simoneaux's. Emile lived on Brulee St. Vincent,had a lot there sold to Dolese Simoneaux about 20 something years ago. Anyway, I would appreciate any info on Emile, Taylor, Lovincia. Thanks, Dixie

Maiden name is Simoneaux- descendant of Francois and Maria Corporon. Rumors thru the ages is the the Simoneaux family had great wealth and land in France and were run out. I need to go to France to further the family tree search. My direct line is:

My name is Gail Ducote. My mom is Geraldine Ann Simoneaux. Her father is from around Bruly, La. His name is Louis Simoneaux. He was married to Marie. I have her maiden name at home. His children: Theresa (pronounced the french way), Hilda, Louis, Ulysis, Lloyd, Adeline, Geraldine, Harry and Johnny. (not in order) They moved to New Orleans - Irish Channel area after a flood in Bruly area where my grandpa had a dairy farm. I would love to find/share more information - hope we found something here.
