Siron Family of Stanton Virginia

I am related to the Siron family of Stanton Virgina by my G.Grandmother.
This part of my family tree is the furthest back I can trace.

My G.Grandmother was Laura Lee Siron (1895-1988)
She was born in VA but lived most of her life in Westfield, IL.

Her parents were Willard Pinkney Siron married to a woman we know only by her given name "Sylvia Anne". They apparently lived in Stanton, VA.

Willard's parents were Jacob Siron and a woman we also know only by her given name of Josephine.

That is all the information I have, if any one can help me make any connection to any other Siron family members or have additional information on who these ancestors may be please e-mail me.

You can also view what I have of a "Family Tree" at:

Thanks for any help, Good luck!

Don't know if you will even get this since your message was older. There are a ton of Sirons in VA and a few spread out through the US all related to that branch. Stories have it that there is also a batch from McDowell VA on the other side of the mountain.

I did get the message thank you. So are you somehow a Siron because the note said author matthew shane siron but the name on sender said brieda I think. Anyway I don't know any of the detail except that my grand father's father or mother was indian his father I think anyway my sister and sister in law have done all the fishing in this regard and I need to write it down when she tells me again because I'm not that old but memory thinks I am. I know that my father was a very prejudiced man as we were growing up and I never did understand any of that aspect of his personality but then I really don't know him as person anyway. But my grandfather always seemed to be a pretty happy go lucky man, but I never knew we were indian at all until my aunt told me a few years ago and I'd like to learn more about this seemingly hidden part of my family history. I often wonder now knowing that we were part indian if that maybe thats why my father was so prejudice to every race because he was treated that way as a boy. I don't know because he never really talked to us we just stayed out of his way especially if he had a bad golf game or we didn't have good grades on our report card. Anyway he doesn't speak to me anymore so I guess it doesn't really matter. But I know this makes for a sad staemnet to be posting on a message board for anybody and everybody to read but who cares, maybe he'll read this and get a clue.

Surnames: Leach, Siron
I am indirectly related to the Siron family through Olin Siron (b1877) who married Lillie Leach (b 1879 d 1901) in 1899.To my knowledge they were both born in Highland Co., Virginia around the Doe Hill area. According to family lore, I also have a mysterious Indian heritage that no one seems to acknowledge and am curious to know more about your story.
As a child I was shown a photo of an old Indian woman and told that it was my grandpa's grandmother. Now no picture seems to EVER have existed according to older relatives. Maybe this connects to your story.

My mother's father was Walter Guy Siron of Staunton Virginia. My mother's mother was Helena Hawkey of Proctor West Virginia. According to your family tree, Walter "Guy" Siron would have been your great-uncle????? Any information would be appreciated.
