Can anyone tell me if this is an Austrian uniform? I am trying to identify the subject of this photo, circa 1900. I think it may be my grandmother's grandfather, Franz Knoth. He was born in Untertannowitz in South Moravia in 1835. In his marriage record in 1866 he was described as a Musik Feldwebel in the Austrian 4th Regiment of Hussars (kk vierten Husaren-Regiment Alexander Czesarevtsch Grossfurst und Thronfolger von Russland). Any help or more information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, the scalloped breast pockets indicate it is an Austro-Hungarian army uniform. The insignia on his collar is for an army kapellmeister (an army band leader).
