I have a photo of the wife of an ancestor who is identified only as "Aunt Dine." I am assuming that "Dine" is a nickname but have been unable to locate the given name which it corresponds to. If anyone has identified this nickname in the course of their research, I would appreciate hearing about it.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the leads. I didn't realize there were so many names that could be reduced to the nickname "Dine." Looks like I have a lot more work to do on this one.
Thanks again.

Dine might not be a nickname......
The name Dine is a surname here's a link to the crest.

Dine is also a Yiddish/Hebrew name for a girl.
Last, Dine is the original name for the Navajo people.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I'm still pretty sure it's a nickname as it appears in quotation marks on the photo (Aunt "Dine"). Besides, the family is neither Hebrew nor Navajo and the name hasn't turned up anywhere else.
Nevertheless, I appreciate the reply.
Tom
