Wondering if anyone has come across or could help me find census info on a Boston Monroe McGee family. He was born in 1846 so he would have been fourteen at the time of the census. My search has stalled at him and I'm trying to locate more info on his father. Would he be listed as a child of his father on the 1850 census? If anyone can offer advice... I'd appreciate it.

Yes, children are listed on the 1850 census. The index is by head of household. Do you know the father's name?

Thanks for the reply, I am seeking information on a John McGee from the 1860 Federal Census. He had atleast one child named Boston Monroe McGee. I am seeking identification on Johns middle name, his father and any other children at the time and his wifes name. I believe he is listed in the 1860 Federal Census for North Carolina, Surry County, Mount Airy Twp, page 513... but not sure, a search revealed that info and I can not find a 1860 census on the web, only partial... and not what I need. Thanks again for the reply, glad someone is reading them, thank you.
