James and Elizabeth Erwin Baird are my 2X Gr-grandparents. They were married abt. 1800-0802. They resided at Ballymore, Tamlaght Finlagan, Londonderry, Ireland when James and their eight children emigrated to the U.S. in 1833. Elizabeth passed away sometime after the birth of their last child in 1826 and the emigration of James and their children in 1833. Their children were: Ann (1803); William (1805); Eleanor (1806); James, Jr. (1810); Robert E. (1817); Mary Ann (1820); John (1824); Martha (1826). I am desperately seeking information on these family members - both while they were in Ireland - and after they emigrated - originally settling in Philadelphia, PA.

Thanks, Darrell!!! I will check that out! It is very strange and so extremely frustrating - out of the father and his 8 children who emigrated to the U.S. in 1833 - the ONLY one I have ANY knowledge of or have been able to definitively identify after their arrival in Philadelphia, is my great-grndfather.

Many thanks!
