Charles A. Sherr II of 317 E. Frederick St., who died Saturday, is survived by a sister, M. Judith, wife of Joe Peffley of Lancaster.
She was incorrectly identified in a Sunday News obituary.

Charles A. Sherr II, 68, of 317 East Frederick Street, Lancaster, died Saturday morning at Lancaster General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Alberta B. Orendorff Sherr who died in 1978 and the late Betty J. Keiffer Sherr who died in 1971. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Margaret B. Danner Sherr. From 1948 to 1974 he had been employed at Armstong World Industries in the plastic mix department.
He was a member of St. Andrews United Church of Christ, the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 43, VFW Post 7294 of Millersville, the Lancaster AmVets Post 19, and the Elks Lodge of Lewes, Delaware. He was a U.S. Army PFC veteran of Korean War.
Surviving are two sons, Charles A. III of Lancaster, and Michael L., husband of Deborah J. Sherr of Lancaster; two grandchildren; three sisters, K. Joanne Schweitzer of Yucca, California; Margaret E., wife of William Hart of New Holland; Judith M. , wife of Joe Peffley of Lancaster; two brothers, Richard D. Sherr and R. Kearney Sherr, both of Lancaster.
