Esther is not the name Thelma, but since it was on the same day, I wondered if there was a connection?

I don't know if this is YOUR Thelma Dunlap, but she is in the right place at the right time. If they married in Hardy in 1934, this might be her family, making her about 16-17 when they married??

1930 census
Hardy Township, Sharp County, Arkansas
April 14, 1930
Dunlap, William S., 53, age at 1st marriage 22, b. IA, farm laborer
Eva, 47, age at 1st m. 19, b. IA
Ray, 20, truck driver
Dorothy, 18
Thelma, 12
Albert, 5
Note, all children b. Arkansas
Note: age of parents is 6 years apart, yet age at 1st marriage is 3 years. Possibly not 1st spouses of each other?? Or census error??

1920 census
21 Jan 1920
Highland, Sharp, AR
Dunlap, WS, 41
Eva, 38
Wesley, 17, b. IA
Edward, 13, b. Ark
Ray, 10
Dorotha, 8
Thelma, 2 11/12 (so born ?Feb - Mar 1917??)
Note age difference is 3 years between parents here.

*******
1930 census
Eagle Chief, Alfalfa, OK
Norton, Charles M., 48
Bertha, 42
J. Muirness, 21 (index says Mairness)
Eugene L., 17
Gerald W., 14
Florence G., 2 4/12

**********
You might try to get a copy of their marriage licence from Hardy, Sharp Co, AR to verify if this is the same Thelma?

********
I didn't find a CA record for Thelma that fit, but the death records only go to 1997. Also, by matching SSDI with records, nothing fit for Thelma. She may have lived somewhere else, remaried and has a different last name, or may still be alive - if born in 1917, she would be 88 now.

Thanks for the information on Muirness, just part of what I needed. Now if we can just find his wife which I believe is the daughter of William S Dunlap in the material you posted.. Muirness is the son of Bertha Mae Lakey Norton who was a sister to my father, Edgar Lakey. Can I give you any information on the Lakey family.
