Looking for information on Burrel (Burwell) Bell of Conecuh County, AL. Any information connecting Burrel Bell, Nathan Bell, Jackson Bell, or Bazil Bell. All lived in the Conecuh, Monroe, and Escambia County area in early to mid 1800's. They are possibly related to John Bell who arrived in Conecuh County around 1817 and for whom the town of Belleville is named.

Those names are not familiar but I have some Bell ancestors from Alabama back then. The towns are Bellwood (of Geneva, Ala) and Daleville (of Dale, Ala.)James C. Bell (1850-1918)was from Bellwood. James was the son of Jonas P. Bell of Tarboro, North Carolina(1811-1892). Jonas had other children also of Alabama, including William B. Bell (1837 born in Daleville); Joseph H. Bell ('39-64); Mary F. Bell(43-1907); John T. Bell (44-1931); Arianna V. Bell ('47-1931); Martha E. Bell (1853). Jonas Bell married Cherry Bryan about 1836 in Russell, Alabama. James C. Bell was married to Katie Doras Sandridge who was born about 1854 in Bellwood, Ala.
Don't know if there is any connection to your Bell's. Good luck in your research.

that Jackson Bell is the son of John Bell.

son John Wesley married Catherine Dolly Henderson/Hinson and they had Noah alexander Bell. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

1. BURRELL2 BELL (UNKNOWN1) was born Bet. 1802 - 1805 in South Carolina, and died Bef. 1900 in Escambia County Alabama. He married (1) ELIZABETH. She was born ca 1820 in Georgia, and died Bef. 1868. He married (2) MARTHA J. HINSON 7 Sep 1869 in Monroe County, Alabama, daughter of THOMAS HINSON and EMALINE PEAVY. She was born Dec 1844 in Alabama.

Notes for BURRELL BELL:
1. 1805: About 1805, this Burrell Bell is Born in North Carolina according to the 1850 Federal Census.

2. 1840: The 1840 Federal Census for Conecuh County, Alabama, shows the following for Bell, Burrell: 1 male 30-40 (1801-1810) (Burrell born about 1802/1805)
1 female 30-40 (1801-1810) (Elizabeth?)
1 male 5-10 (1831-1835) (Stephen, born 1834)
2 females under 5 (1836-1839) (Catherine, born 1839 & ?)
1 female 5-10 (1831-1835) (Emily, born 1835)
1 female 10-15 (1826-1830) (?)
1 male 40-50 (1791-1800) (Burrell's father?)


3. 1850: The 1850 Federal Census for Conecuh County, Alabama, shows Burrell Bell on page 370B, Household #587: Believe this is the father of David B. Bell, who was the father of Stephen Wesley Bell, father of Lucy Bell. Living next door in dwelling 586 is Basil Bell, age 30, born in Alabama (brothers or cousins?).

4. 1757: The Burrell Bell who by 1840 shows up in Conecuh County could be the grandson of Burrell & Priscilla Bell, since he says in the 1850 census records that he was born in North Carolina. Burrell Bell married Priscilla. Burrell (the older) secured a land grant in 1757 in Bertie County, North Carolina, and moved to that area. 5. 1860: The 1860 Federal Census of Conecuh County, Alabama, shows the following on page 1054, Household #714-693:
