My great grandfather, JOHN SKOPEC, was born in Bohemia ca 1850, and immigrated to USA with his parents FRANK SKOPEC & ANNA HLAVAC. He worked on the boats/barges. He married ANNA PANKA on Feb 11, 1873 in St. Gabriel's Church, Prairie du Chien, CRAWFORD CO, WI. They lived in Prairie du Chien until 1880.

I would welcome any information on this family or any SKOPEC (CKOPEC) family members.

Thanks, Judy. Shirley Panka is my "cousin" and we have been in touch concerning the PANKA side of our family. Now we are trying to find the elusive SKOPEC family.
