I am the Gr Gr granddaughter of Owen Finnegan and Mary McQuire. My Gr Gr Grandfather Owen came from County Armagh when he was a child. Owen and Mary McQuire lived in Dixon Illinois. They had 6 children. Their daughter Annie was my Gr Grandmother. Annie married Frederick W. Hatch. Annie and Frederick had 3 children Fred, Irene and Florence. Florence was my Grandmother. She married William C. Dempsey. They had 5 children. Their daughter Elizabeth is my mother. Is this possibly your Owen Finnegan?

I apologize for taking so long to respond, I was on vacation.

It is possible that your Owen Finnegan and mine are related but I am sorry to say they are not the same person.

The Owen I am searching was married to Ellen Fruin and they had 10 children, all accounted for.

Thanks for answering my query

I'm just wondering if your Finnegan ancestor could be any relation to my Finnegan ancestor.

My G G G Grandmother was Bridget Finnegan. She married Owen O'Brien (son of Owen O'Briena and Mary McAllister)about 1830.
