My name is Bill Baglio. My father is Fred Baglio, born in Chicago Illinois in 1937. His parents were Joseph and Lucille Baglio. Grandma Lou had 5 Children. Some from different fathers. The Children Are Josephine (Baglio) Sanfillipo, Mary (Baglio) Palici, Sammy Baglio, Lucille Baglio, and Fred. I know nothing else about the family and am fascinated to find out more!

I'm not sure if this connects to you, but it might, later. My maternal grandmother was Laura Baglio,b.1896 in Caltanissetta Province, Siclily. Her father was Salvatore Baglio, b. 1/1/1872 in Marianaple, Sicily, d. 1930 in Chicago. His father was "Marty" Baglio, no other info. Family settled in Oak Park, IL between 1900 and 1910, probably via PA and NJ. I know my grandmother had a sister, Rose, and that there were more siblings, but names unknown.

Here's what I have - I found MARTIN Baglio who is the father of Fred - not Joseph. Born 12/25/1899 - died 11/29/1950. I have a copy of his WW1 draft registration card filled out when he was 18. Showing not born in the US but in Italy. His father is Samuel Baglio also living in Chicago at that time in 1917. Therefore, they would have had to come over from Italy between 1899-1917. Confirmed that this is the correct Martin by Lucy. Looking for any military record for Martin Baglio or any birth/death record for Samuel. Trying to find out who Samuel was married to??

I spoke to my aunt who mentioned a few of these names. She said he clan cam from Italy and eventually settled in Trinad, CO and there was nine brothers and sisters. Guess the parents were 2nd cousins and were not allowed to marry so left the old country to the US in order to be married. My grandma was Laura Dean Baglio and she had a bother who live in Billings, MT. whom had a daughter who I met while attending MSU. My Aunt also said there is a family who lives in Gillette, WY (Fred Baglio) and she also mentioned that one of the sisters Radcliff migrated to WA State. This is all new for my mom had no info so decided to call her sister and wow what an earful.
