Am seeking information on the geneology of Charles Carroll of Carrollton-signer of the Declaration of Independence. He is an ancestor of mine on my maternal grandmother's side but I'm not sure how. My grandmother was Dorothy Eleanor Winters of western PA, born of George and Annrenetta in 1905- I believe Annrenetta's maiden name was Vaughan. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Apologies 1st: I'm new to this world of geneology and not very good with computers. [I need all the help I can get]... Charles Carroll of Carrollton is my great-g Grandfather. His father Charles Carroll of Annapolis b: 1703 d: 1783 ...married Elizabeth Brooke (daughter of Clement Brooke & Jane Sewell ... note: Elizabeth was a near relation of her husband. Charles Carroll of Carrollton was also the only Roman Catholic to sign Declaration of Independence & the last surviving [age 95] signer. Charles Carroll of Carrollton's grandfather Charles Carroll, Attorney general under the third Lord Baltimore, emigrated from England to Maryland because of the persecution of the Catholics 1 Oct 1688.

I'm trying to trace a possible link to Charles Carroll. Katherine Kelly Carroll died June 5, 1889. I do not know her husband's first name but there is supposed to be a link to Charles Carroll. Any help will be appreciated.

To all you who are from the Charles Carroll of Carrollton lineage, I want to extend my hand and ask for your help in finding a few missing branches on my family tree. I can trace to Nellie Carroll, born in 12/24/1868 and died in Long Beach, CA. in 9/1958.I think she is burried in Rose Hills in Whittier, CA..She was my great great grandmother and was married to Joseph Dayton Thorn who was born i11/8/1861 in Syracuse, NY and died in Long Beach Ca.My great great grandfather lived in Sheridan, Wyoming for a long time and in i888 my grandfather Carroll Richard Thorn was born.My father was born in 1919 in Sheridan WY as well. Anyone who could help me trace back further than I have and maybe connect Nellie Carroll to Charles Carroll somehow ,would be greatly appreciated....
Thank you Carroll Richard Thorn III

Charles had seven children and as far as I know there were no
brothers or sisters. From what I gather there were only one uncle
and two aunts that lived to be old enough to be married.
