Cecil Hilleary of Georgetown DC (wife Lucy) was my grandfather, who just died 1980--I was quite startled to see your message. I have traced his ancestry back to 1600s--with one minor gap. What CAN'T I tell you about him? Please contact me! Are we related perhaps?

I was amazed by your response. Lucy was my Great Great Aunt, her sister Anna Gertrude Johnson Hoover was my gggrandmother. I have been Trying to fill in the blanks on Lucy and Cecil all I have on them are there names and that is my memory of them , aside from cecil's paintings which I remember as clear as if they were sitting in front of me. I know they had several children and grandchildren and great grandchildren but the only names I remember are Susanna, Alexandria , Jimmy , Patrick and Hilleary who I attended school with for sometime at holy trinity in dc. I am trying to trace Aunt Lucy mother in particular. I have some info on the Johnson's but nothing on Dorthea.
I would love to have the info on Cecil parents , his birth any info you are willing to share please email me . at kriss_flynn@hotmail.com or debbyflynn@hotmail.com.
looking forward to hearing from you.

Do you know if there was a Fredrick Richard Hilleary in your line? Maybe a brother to Cecil?

Dear Nancy:

This is the only Frederick I can find--

Albert Eugene Hilleary (died 1929), born to Walter Henry Hilleary and Mary Crown in 1846, married Annie (some accounts, Amy) Bartley Robinson, whom everyone called Becky, in late 1860s. Albert and Becky had several children:

Henry Warren, born 17 Oct. 1867, baptized 3 November, 1867.
Andrew, born 26 December 1872
Arthur Vincent, born 24 October 1874
Albert Mortimer, born 23 August 1876, died 1962.
Mary Margaret, born 5 September 1878
John Lawrence, born 8 June 1880
Frederick, born early 1882
Grafton, born 10 February 1884
James Jefferson, born and died the same day, 19 Nov. 1885
Andrew Eugene, born April 1887—since he has the same name as their firstborn, it is safe to assume firstborn died.

If you think this is your Frederick, contact me by email--I probably have more on him!

How are you related, by the way?

Cecily

Could be. Send me what you have and a direct e-mail address I can reach you at. It's possible that this could be my husbands grandfather or great grandfather. They both had the name Fredrick. Do you know who your Frederick married?
