Looking for any indication that Jean Michel HUSSON (born 20 November 1837 in Nebing, Moselle, France) or his wife Catherine Marie Rose BOUBEL (born 9 July 1844 in Sotzeling, Moselle, France) resided and/or died in Wilmington DE after 1880. In the 1900 and 1910 censuses, they did not live in the homes of son-in-law Victor SEICHEPINE and daughter Marie Julia HUSSON but may have been nearby.

Il live in France and my grand-dad is Louis HUSSON, son of Michel HUSSON and Catherine BOUBEL.
All of them lived in Nébing, Moselle. Louis is born in Nébing 10/09/1879, and died in Nébing 06/10/1962.

I am looking for more généalogy about Michel HUSSON and Catherine BOUBEL (parents, sons and daughters). Can you please tell me if you got some informations, and where did you obtain them ?

Your post from Wilmington is a big surprise for me, because I think that these HUSSON were very poor. Why do you think that Michel and Catherine had son(s) or daughter(s) who went there for life ? Is it for military mission ? what else ?

My husband’s grandmother was Marie Julie HUSSON SEICHEPINE (born 2 July 1872 in Nébing – died 15 October 1957 in Wilmington, Delaware). Marie was the sister of your grandfather Louis HUSSON. Another sister, Elise HUSSON (May 1873-???) also came to Wilmington, married and had a family there.

I do have some information about Jean Michel HUSSON and Catherine Marie Rose BOUBEL and their ancestors. It is from the files of the Department of Moselle, and it was sent to me by Guy SEICHEPINE, a cousin in Plesnois, France. Guy could find no death records in Moselle for Michel and Catherine so he thought perhaps they also came to Wilmington, but I have found no record of Michel and Catherine in Wilmington yet -- do you know if they died in France and where they are buried? I believe that members of our BOUBEL, CARRE, HUSSON and SEICHEPINE families came to Wilmington for employment, and many stayed for life. The DuPont Gunpowder Mill was located there and employed many workers.

I myself am descensant husson Louis, born September 10, 1879 at Nébing in Moselle, Loraine France and died October 6, 1962 at Nébing. He had several children I know that: Amélie Husson died in Carolles beach in department 50, Jeanne Husson Forbach living under the name of marriage MAURICE and ANNA HUSSON is my grandmother. She had a son GUY born of an unknown father and my father is.
