Looking for any Normans in Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, or descendants of Normans from these areas. I have data on some of these folks from 1859 to present. I am looking to go back further or find other branches. Please contact either by
fax> 225-791-0137 or ph> 225-791-2488. Any lead will be appreciated.

At a Valu Village thrift store in Richfield, MN, I've come across a family bible whose copyright date is 1869.
This Bible lists Births, deaths, and marriages for a certain part of the Norman clan. I've been trying to find a current ancestor of the patriarch on whom to bequeath this treasure.
William Benson Norman, 3/13/1824-4/26/1904, may have been a confederate soldier in Company A, 3rd Reg Infantry out of Ocean Springs, MS.
I've got him, his wife Sara, and 11 of their progeny. If you're interested I can email them to you.

I should add...

I would love to know if you have any info on
my Norman family. My grandfather Herman
Kennard Norman Sr was born in AR in 1905 but
was married in 1927 in Sherman, Grayson Co.,
TX. His parents Claud Tinsley Norman and Emma
Taylor are buried in TX as are his greatgrand
mother Mexico Samantha Cooper Norman. Any sound
familiar?

I have a Cataline B. Norman
married to Joshua N. Bashford born
in Schenectady, NY. They were married in
Benton, Yates Co., NY in 1839. They later moved to Livingston Co., Michigan where they apparently lived out the rest of their lives.
I have only just discovered these two and know nothing else about them. Please e-mail me is they are in your tree. Thanks.
