My husband's family came from Dyer Co, Tn., to Tx at
the end of the Civil War. I understand that
original there were two differant Pierce families
in Dyer Co, His was Jeremiah Pierce, m. Sally
Parker, their son Albert G. Pierce m. Adelaide
Delia McCulloch. They each had large families.
I have the children of each, but it has been
hard to trace their grandchildren. Let me know
if you think we might make a connection.

I am doing some research on Edward A. Pierce, born about 1825 in Tennessee. He is listed in the 1860 census as
a physician and living in James Bayou township, Mississippi
County, Missouri with his wife, Emily and two-year-old son.
He died sometime in 1868. His heirs that are listed are:
Wallace Pierce, Mississippi County, Missouri and Thomas
Pierce and Paul Pierce, both of Dyer County, Tennessee.
Do you have any info. about these folks? Thank you!

Hi,
From Dyer county, do you have Abner Cab Pierce (married Katherine V. Claiborne) in your line? or a John, A.C. (A. Calvin), or their mother E.W.?
E.Ws husband is who I'm looking for in Va.

Hi,
I'm looking for the husband of E.W., husbands surname Pierce. Children of E.W. & (?) Pierce include A. Calvin (A.C.) Pierce, John, & others. All from Va., but not able to find out which county, or which "Pierce" E.W. married.
Any clues?
Thanks,
Paula

I just replied to your other post, but I just thought of something. Has someone in your family done a paternal DNA test? My uncle did one for our family, but I haven't been able to find out much yet from this. I was told I think that we are related to some Pierce's who came from Kentucky, Virginia, and South Carolina, but I can only prove our Pierce ancestry back to my great-grandfather, Thomas Ulysses Pierce (b. about 1859 and died in 1944). I am pretty sure his dad was Edward A. Pierce b. about 1825, but I haven't been able to prove that yet. If you go to the "Pierce DNA Project Southern States", my family is listed under ID Ancestry 2 (Group V). We are supposed to be related somehow to the group listed above us--ID 63931 (Group V), but I don't know how to get in touch with them.

Hello, we are related to an A. C. Pierce who came from Dyer Tenn. to Arkansas. One of his children was A. Calvin so I am guessing A C was also. He would have been born abt 1820. Could this be in your line also and have you answered the questions of his parents? Thanks so much
