Hello,

I found a book at a thrift shop last week, "Franklin County, the 50's," which offers pages from the "Greenfield Recorder." It's a type of "coffee table book" which some who lived in Greenfield in the 1950's would enjoy looking at. Was this book sold in many places during the 1990's?

OH, I've been trying to remember the name of my mother's friend from the 1940's and 1950's who lived in Greenfield. Just now the name popped into my head: Mrs. Barbara Sibley. I think they became friends when their husbands were soldiers stated in western MA, but I'm not sure.

Oops. My early-morning fingers made a typo. My father was .stationed. in MA before he was sent out on a plane to Europe and North Africa.
