I would be interested in speaking to anyone who has relatives from this village. It was the home of my maternal grandmother, and I would like to learn more about it.

I am trying to find info on my parernal grandfather. I think his name was Maurice (Moishe) Michaelovitch. I know that my Dad (his son) was born near Kiev,Ukraine . Jews moved around a lot in those days. It is possible there is a connection to Lithunia. Has your family name been shortenedf to Michaels? Would love to hear from you.

Hello...
My family name "michaels" was once "michles"....when my dad's family arrived in Canada, a relative already living here and better versed in English changed it to Michaels.

My father's family is actually from Grodno, the city. Although at the time it was in Poland, both sides of my family are definitely Litvak. It's my maternal grandmother that came from Rossienya,Lithuania; I had hoped to find some information about the village...........
