FAIRBROTHER/STEWART
Hi there,
I am trying to trace an Alice FAIRBROTHER, born c. 1820 who married a John McLeod STEWART, Born c. 1812 sometime in the 1830's. The couple lived in Scotland for a long time in their later life however seemed to move about a bit. Judging by the places of birth of some of their children - the first being 1839 in Durham where both Alice & John were married. I am having trouble tracing b/m/d certificates for both parties however, particularly Alice FAIRBROTHER.
From the census returns it would seem her place of birth was Dublin, Ireland although when I initially read the census it looked like Dully - I can find no trace of such a place though.
If anyone has any knowledge of websites specific to Irish records or indeed family members potentially related to Alice FAIRBROTHER then please get in touch as I am totally stuck!
Thanks in anticipation.
