John Roland Newman-Buckett was my grandfather. He married Thelma Mary Elizabeth White and their only daughter, Thelma Joy Newman-Buckett was my mother. She married Brian Victor Wood on 10 March 1956. They moved to the US and had two children: me, in 1959 and my brother Christopher in 1962.

Actually I am in touch with your first cousin (once removed) Barbara Bath. My mother and I found her through Ancesty and we visited here a couple of years ago. She is also interested in family research. Barbara's grandfather was Frederick Newman Bucket (the father of John Roland), which made John Roland her uncle. You and I are third cousins.
