I have a question, how can a person find out if a certain property in Paris, IL was sold and when and for how much.

Is there a website that can tell this.?

You can find the patent deeds for the FIRST TIME the various and tracts were sold on the internet from the Bureau of Land Management. Site is free. You can printout a copy of the original patent - very impressive. Contact me here again if you want the URL.

Subsequent sales of the various tracts are not, to my knowledge, available on-line. Go to the courthouse in Paris for this.

You can order a book of CURRENT plat maps (2011) for Edgar County by contacting the Edgar County Farm Bureau at: www.edgarcountyfarmbureau.org. Very useful 75 page booklet and it will tell you who owns every piece of land in the county in 2011. They're not expensive.

Thank you I did try the land management site and couldnt find what I was looking for. this land was put up for auction in mar 2 of this year. Just needed to find out if it actually sold or what.

You might try the Paris Beacon News website. They have a search capability. I don't know who might publish various land sales.
