I am interested in the Beamish surname. Thomas Beamish arrived in Tasmania in 1860. He later moved to Victoria and died in Melbourne in 1873. His wife Elizabeth died in 1881. Both are buried in Melbourne. Any connection. Garry.

In reply to Val,
My Dalziel family came to Victoria between 1844 and 1850. This was William and Martha Muir (married 8th Jan 1843 in Scotland). They had eight children. If this is of any help to you, contact me for further details.

Hi Shirley,
Noticed you had Mottram's in your surname list. I am looking for them as they came to Western Australia in 1840 and some of them travelled to Victoria to Maryborough, Timor areas.
In particular a James Mottram born 1852 and Samuel Mottram born 1846-47. We have had some contact with Samuel's clan but nothing from James.

Can you help?
Thank you Bev

Hi Bev
Only have one Mottram so far; Sarah, born Rusholme, Lancashire, England. Married to Thomas Harvey 1888, Union Hill, Victoria. At this point do not know much more.
