names list modification needed

These changes are needed to the list of names per many instances:
Why: older/foreign names tend to be very long
What: Name column needs to be longer

What: The male gender (blue color) should be added to the list of names
Why: In searching for 'head of household' it would help to more easily identify males. Also names applicable to male/female would be identifiable
How: The "edit" icon could be made blue as applicable.

I hope I am not the only one who could use and appreciate this modification.

Could you explain a little more clearly where you feel this would be useful?

Are you using old search or new search? Is this in the census results only?

A screenshot attached - on the left, using old search, on the right, same search, using new search.

Since the alternate rows are highlighted, to make them easier to see, I'm not sure how or where gender color coding could be used to advantage.

Perhaps I'm not understanding your meaning.

Edit - or do you perhaps means on the interactive viewer for the census (2nd screenshot attached)?

They're making a suggestion about functions in the member tree program, specifically in the "list of all people" view.

I'm not getting that meaning at all, especially since the List of all People has no "Edit" icon.

Names list = *list of all people*

The OP is not using familiar/standard terminology, that's all.

In regard to the suggestion for more space to accommodate long given/surnames, there's only so much space. A detailed (town/city, county, province/state, country) place of birth and death generally takes up more space than a given/surname. This is most likely why the format is set to the existing parameters.
