James Harrington married Harriet Horton.
They had 11 children:
Will Harrington;
May Harrington(don't know married name); Elizabeth Harrington (1895 - 1980) married George C. Larson - Elizabeth is my grandmother;
Harriett Harrington(don't know married name);
Jimmie - died at 2 years old;
James Harrington;
Celia Harrington(don't know married name);
Harry Harrington;
Dora Harrington(don't know married name);
Irene Harrington (1910 - 1999) married Clinton White;
Pearl Harrington (1912 - ) married Clyde Adams.
I have some relatives still living tied to the Harrington clan - these surnames may be those of the women that I don't know who they married: Appeloff, Butterworth, Murray,

Do you know the parents and grandparents of James? Jerimiah Margaret Harrington had 10 children born in Saint John, New Brunswick. They moved to Boston in 1835. my g-g grandfather, Dennis F.Harrington moved to California in 1852 and lost contact with his family. Could James be part of this family?

Children of Jerimiah Margaret??

Do you have the names of the 10 children? I
am looking for an Orrin Harrington b. 1May1832/3
born somewhere in Canada, probably "Upper Canada"(Ontario)
or New Brunswick. If they left in 1835 that probably
explains why I can't find them in Canada!
I have the rest of the family down to the present day
and will gladly share info.
Thank you

Brunswick.

No I don't have their names, and there lies the problem. What can I say they were a poor Irish, Catholic family, and family history wasmn't important. Getting out of the tenaments of Boston and leaving it all behind was all that probably mattered.

What access do you have to Boston records? Have you been able to find city or state records for that period?

The James Harrington I'm researching was from Newport, RI born June 17, 1868 and died May 30, 1956, buried in St. Mary's Cemetary in Uxbridge, MA. He didn't know his father. His mother was Elizabeth McGinty from Ireland. He married Harriett Horton from South Uxbridge,MA, had 11 children (all but one are dead) and lived the rest of his days in South Uxbrdige on a farm. He had a brother John, a brother Will who was a twin with a sister, who died as an infant.
