Jennie,
I believe that two of the residences in which the officials of the orphanage lived are still standing, but the 2 buildings in which the children were housed were torn down long ago. I'm sorry.

I realize the thread to this is several years old...but I happened across it doing some research.

I grew up at the Pythian Home in Clayton, NC. My grandfather was the superintendent.

There was only one residence structure--it is still standing and in use as a business. All other buildings have been demolished.

My Father Lawrence W. Tolbert and his sister Belvia were there if there is anyone who can tell me about this place and about my family I would really like to here from you.
