Seeking information on the WILLIAM SPENCE family of Pasquotank, NC. William Spence died in Pasquotank in 1785. I am looking for his date of birth and his marriage date to JUDHA PERRY. I descend from their second son, ELISHA SPENCE (b. ca. 1776; d. ca 1835-40). After William's death, Elisha left Pasquotank to live with relatives in another county (possibly Randolph). William and Judha Spence also had three other children: Joseph, b. 1773; Thornton (b. after Elisha) and Sarah. Any information will be sincerely appreciated.

I'm curious if you have any Bailey names from Pasquotank in your tree. I'm descendant from Alonzo Bailey, who was born to a John Anderson and Nancy (Bundy) Bailey in Pasquotank in 1873. Alonzo's son (my grandfather) was raised by an aunt and uncle named Spence after Alonzo's wife passed away. My grandfather legally changed his name to Spence when he got married to my grandmother, and Spence is my maiden name. I know it's not a solid link, but I've been looking for ancestors of Alonzo Bailey in Pasquotank, and saw your query for Spences, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks so much!

I was just skimming over so post on the board and I see you have a BUNDY in your family. I am a BUNDY drom PASQUOTANK COUNTY. Lots of BUNDYS here. Curious of your BUNDY line. Maybe we connect or cross lines, ya never know. The BUNDY name is on my dad side. My dads mother also was BURGESS family from CAMDEN. Thats why I skim the camden boards.

I'm descendent from African American Spence's in Pasquotank. Wondered if you have any records regarding slaves.
