Robert McCoy

Thomas McCoy was an Irish immigrant. He first settled in Iowa in 1868 and worked for the B & M Railroad. He moved to Palmyra, Nebraska where he married Mrs. Betty Jane Oberholtzer in 1878. Samuel Oberholter was Betty Jane's son from her first marriage. Thomas and Betty Jane had three sons in Nebraska: George, Charles, and Robert. The family moved first to Wyoming and then to the Rapid City area of Pennington County in the 1890's.

Pennington County was residence for John Edgar PRATT and Mary MCCOY whose children included Roy Edgar Pratt, b Apr 15 1900 "Near Viewfield", Meade Co. Roy worked at Homestake Mining Co Lead in 1943 when he applied for SSN. Brothers of John Edgar were Levi and Lorenzo PRATT. Seeking connection for daughter of Roy Edgar

I AM ABOUT 95% SURE THAT THE CHARLES MCCOY YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT AS BEING ONE OF THE THREE SONS IS MY GRANDFATHER. MY MOTHER STATED THAT SHE WAS BORN IN RAPID CITY CHARLES MARRIED A GIRL, MARIE LONGBELLA THEN THE MOVED TO COLORADO SPRINGS. I DONT KNOW MUCH ON THE FAMILY BUT I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT
