You may want to try reading the sweetwater county wyoming census to locate the Philbrick family. You will find them posted on the US Gen-web project under the state of wyoming. I was a child living in daggett county in the 1950's and there was a Nels Philbrick who was married to Mabel Williamson he had sisters who lived in Green River, and one of the was Charolette who was married to Howard Petry. Another one was Pearl who was married to ? Zimmerman. I knew both of them. As for Alvin Schofeild there were only 2 familys living there at that time and I do not think that he was one of them.

Thank you

Frank J. Schofield was my great-uncle, brother of my grandfather, Willard Schofield. During the 1950's and 1960's, Uncle Frank was living in Evanston, Wyo. I used to drive my grandfather from Manila, Utah to Evanston to attend the rodeo with Uncle Frank. I have much info. on the Schofields and will be happy to share.

Dear Mrs. Bateman:
I am indeed the author of "Agony of a Mormon Polygamist". I hope I can help you with the information you need on Uncle Frank Schofield. He was the son of Thomas Schofield and Mona Henrietta Reid. Thomas was born in 1826 in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancs., Eng. and died in 1898 In Beaver, Utah. Thomas was the son of Jonathan Schofield and Hannah Heywood. Hannah was the niece of Peter Heywood of Mutiny on the Bounty fame. Uncle Frank Schofield was born in Beaver while his father Thomas was in hiding at Robbers Roost to aboid Federal Marshals for polygamy. I have the birth dates and other information, but no in front of me. I will try to find them and post them to you asap. If you want specifics, please let me know.
Best wishes
Kerry Ross Boren

I am interested in any personal info about Frank and his family. The census says he was a farmer but what did he grow? How often did they go to the rodeo? Did you know his son, Keith(aka Barney). Keith's middle name is Alvin or Alvan(I've seen it spelled both ways and don't know which is correct. Keith's son, Jonathan Frank Schofield, my son's maternal grandfather, had petit mal seizures when he was about 7 and my son also had them and grew out of them ina couple of years just like Jonathan. It skipped a generation because none of Jonathan's kids had them. I'm curious to know if the seizures came down thru Keith, if there are any family stories or other Schofields known to have had them? Thank you for any help you can give me.

I am not a descendant of the Schofield family, but part of the Tinker family that lived there. When I think of the Schofield family I do remember another Schofield family that lived there and maybe they might be a relative of Keiths. The lady that I remember worked in the school lunch room and her name was Audrey but she was married to a Schofield, and I do not remember which one. I also knew Averil so I really am not getting names mixed up.

Dear Mrs. Bateman:

I apologize for taking so long to answer your last inquiry about Uncle Frank Schofield. I have been away for a while. I am going through my files for the Schofield information and will send it to you as soon as I locate it. It has been filed away for many years. I have not heard of the seizures you mentioned in other members of the family, at least in any of the Schofields I have known. Perhaps it was inherited on a maternal line. I found it interesting that one of your line of interest was named Jonathan, inasmuch as that was the name of Thomas Schofield's father -- Jonathan md Hannah Heywood. I will send you the additional info. as soon as possible. I have not forgotten you.

Respectfully yours,
Kerry Ross Boren
