April 1881 Camille Darensbourg married Leontine. I'm searching for Leontine's parents but don't know her maiden name except its possibly Victor or Rousselle. Anyone familiar, please post a message. Thanks.

I'm wondering if you have he name switched. Could it have been Camille, wife of Leon D'Arensbourg? My ex husband's mother wass named Camille LeJeune and she was from New Orleans. She married his father, Leon.

The census and several other sources agree that this male was Camille and his wife Leontine. However I do have another ancestor named Leon Darensbourg and his wife was named Marie Amelie Haydel and they might have had a son named Leon.

My great grandfather is Joseph Darensbourg he was one of their twelve children, Camille and Leontine Roubulo.Taken from my family reunion book of 1997, her mother was Marie Roubulo around 1862. She was baptized and educated in St John parish - Edgar, LA
Camille and Leontine were united in marriage in St John parish around 1877

Thank you so much for your response.

I also saw the 1997 family reunion book. My grandmother is a Roublou, and her mother was a Dieudonne, both of which families married into the Darensbourg in the River Parishes area.

I have according to marriage license that Joseph Darensbourg maried an Eliza(beth) Roublou in St. John Parish Jan 17, 1880. The marriage license for Camille Darensbourg has him marrying Leontine Roussel in St. John Parish April 29, 1882.

My grandmother was a Carmelite Roublou, who married Wilson Darensbourg. Wilson is the son of Camille and Leontine. Also a Celestine Roublou married a Darensbourg, and I have three children, Victor, Josephine, and Etienne. I don't know which branch of Roublou they are from, but they are all from Killona, St. Charles Parish and/or Lucy, St. John Parish. Do you have any information on them?

I have several older Darensbourg Obituaries that I've been using to untangle the web. The obituary of Arthur Darensbourg lists a Leontine Roussel and Camille Darensbourg, and the corresponding siblings. Being that so many of the same people, in the same area, name their kids the same things, who all were born around the same times makes it hard to figure out who is who.

Thanks for any information you can give me.

I will also gladly share some of the obituaries I've found in the TP Archives.
