Addie, Thomas P. Forrester was the son of Hiram Forrester and Millie Davis. I have copies of the letters he wrote his sister Mary during the Civil War and have been building a book around them. They're absolutely fascinating reading.

Tom's father Hiram was the son of John Forrester and Mary "Polly" Grant of Greenville County, South Carolina and Habersham County, Georgia. His mother Millie was the daughter of Thomas Davis of Franklin County, Georgia.

Sadly, Thomas seems to have died during the war. I think he may have died of disease. I have a one-line excerpt from the memoirs of a private in his company who was a neighbor of the Forrester family in Pickens County and who remembered helping to bury him.

YES!!! I am a great grand daughter of James Jarrett Forester and Susannah Cash. One of their sons, Thomas Edward
"Tom" Forrester was my grandfather. He was a brother of
William Howard Forester. I can give you more information about the family AFTER they mirgrated to northeastern Alabama. I would like to have more information about their
Georgia History. I will be looking forward to your response with great anticipation. G. Jo Forrester-Rush

Do you know by change if Thomas P. Forrester was married to someone named "Sarah Forrester" and did they have children? I have a Sarah Forrester I'm trying to track who I know was widowed, I believe before 1850. I'm having problems finding support on this.

Please email me at sara.hiatt@gmail.com if you have information. Thanks!

I realize this might be a bad e-mail address but am taking a chance that it is still good. I am searching for information on Malinda Forrester who Married John Marion Mann. I believed in your post that you mentioned some letters that you have. I would love to have a copy of them. Any info you have will be appreciated.
