My great grandfather, Willian Fredrick Alexander moved from Monroe Co., Ga. to La. before 1890. My grandfather, James Paul Alexander, was born in Spenser, Jackson Par., La. in 1890. I do not know if there is any connection but I will be glad to share what I have.

I too am looking for information on my Alexander side that moved from Georgia to LA. The only information that I have is on my gg grandmother, Sarah Alexander. She was married to a Henry Mitchell in Miller Co. AR, 1891.
I do know that she died in OK, but travelled frequently to LA to visit family.
The 1910 census for OK, has her listed as 45 years of age, so that makes her born in 1865 in Georgia, although I am not sure where.
Please respond with any information that you have.

Harvey
