I am currently researching my 3rd great grandfather
Thomas Timberlake. He was born approx. 1807 somewhere
in Virginia. He married a Katherine Teasley(could possibly
be Catherine Ormsby). She was born approx. 1809 also in Virginia. They later moved to Greenup Co. Kentucky. I show
them in Greenup in a 1850 census. Thomas's oldest son
Pleasant had supposedly taken Thomas back to Virginia to be buried. I have had several family members researching this along with me. Several factors have come up between talking with several family members. It is said that we have
Indian in our family. Also that the name Richard keeps coming up. My theory is that somehow we are linked with
the Richard Timberlake-son of Henry , then son of the orginial Francis Timberlake. I would love to have any kind of proof for this. I am still trying to find out who the father of Thomas was.
Once that is done I believe I can link us all the back to England. Any help would truly by appreciated.
Thanks
Kim

There are Timberlakes in the Cherokee Nation. No Richard in Starr's book, but there is an A.W.; Levi;Nancy;Sarah.
