i found you post interesting. my grandmother's maiden name is herrera she is mostly apache and while she was born in colorado her parents were from new mexico. i just started looking for my family history and helping my grandmother find her parents' past. but i do have lots to stories from her, i just need records now.

I find it very interesting for a grand daughter helping grandma develope a family tree.

I keep you posted if I hear any thing in this side of the globe in the far Weastern Pacific Islands.

Our Herrera lineage is from the CHAMORRO heritage.

my grandma's name is Irene, here parents were Paticio (Patrick) Herrera and Eugenia Montoya. and her sisters names are Eva, Isabell,and Della.
My greatgrandma was full apache while my greatgrandpa was apache and spanish.

I am presently researching the Herrera/Guera/Becera lines.
In the Herrera line the oldest member of the family who is now about 90 yrs of age tells a story of being Apache. Whether this is true or not I do not have documentation of proof. Could please send me Twobraidzz@aol.com your family line? And I will send you the one I have. Thank You, Twobraidzz

My grandmother's man is Irene Herrera may be gussman by previous marriage? I have never met her but she has a brother maned Fred any feedback would be great!!
