I know your post is old but thought I'd reply anyway since this is part of my line. I have Thomas Austin Southworth/ Southard ( the Southard & Southworth names are interchangeable )so you have to look at them both. I have Thomas's father as Richard Southard & his mother as Deliah Mason. Richard's parents were John & Betty ( no last name for her )
Deliah's parents were John Mason & Elizabeth. Her last name may be Faulconer. Her father Thomas Faulconer . Thomas Southard/Southard was brother to my ggg grandfather Archibeel who marr Elizabeth C. Smith from Hanover Co. Have not been able to find parents for Elizabeth. Any info on this family appreciated.

Sally Noel m. Sale
Mary "Polly" Noel

Note Delilah Priddy was 1st wife of Reuben MCDANIEL

children of Eunice Noel & John Richerson:
1. Elizabeth "Betsy" N. Richerson b. 1806
2. John Richerson Jr. b. 1808
3. Jane Johns Richerson b. 1809

6. Giles Noel Richerson b. 1816

In my previous post I mistakenly listed Catherine Richerson as a child of John Richerson - there was no child Catherine Richerson b. abt. 1815 that was wrong. Catherine Richerson (maiden name Motley) and was John Richerson's 1st wife they had 3 children: Lucy, Henry and Erwin

I have further details if anyone is interested.

Thanks for your reply on the Noel family. Do you happen to know who the parents of George Turner were as I am also working on the Turners from Essex, King William & Caroline? Also who are Catherine Motley's parents?

First another error to fix Catherine Motley and John Richerson's son name is Edwin NOT Erwin as in my previous post, sorry.
Please keep in mind, this is not a direct line so I have not spent any time researching dates, the best I can do is estimate on births and some deaths unless otherwise specified. My direct line is John Richerson's 2nd wife, Eunice Noel.
From documents I have located - The estate probate of John Richerson in Essex County, - Richard Motley, Catherine's brother along with Edmond F. Noel, Eunice's brother were named as executors to John's will.
Chancery Suits of Caroline County, the will of Thomas Broaddus is being argued. Lots of names mentioned and relationships given. I'll give a look at the Caroline county Order Books at the Library Saturday when I work and see if I find anything new for you. Here's what I have:

Edwin Motley d. 1809 King & Queen County, VA.
married Catherine "Caty" Broaddus, VA. - 11 children
named in order of mention in documentation:
1 Thomas Motley
2 Ann Motley [m. Mark Andrews]
3 Henry Motley
4 Catherine Motley d. bef. 1804
[m. John Richerson d. Nov. 1820 - 3 children]
5 Elizabeth Motley still unmarried in 1809 [and illiterate]
6 Rosey Motley [m. John Ryland]
7 Edwin Motley Jr. b. 1775-1787
8 John Motley b. 1775-1787
9 William Motley b. 1775-1787
10 Richard Motley b. 1775-1787
11 James Motley b. 1775-1787

*The last 5 are under age 21 by the date 5 November 1796 per a release of estate lands of the widow Ann Broaddus but the document cannot be executed because of the age of these last 5 children, the widow is still living though.

Parents of Catherine "Caty" Broaddus
Thomas Broaddus d. abt. 1787 m. Ann Redd(?) d. aft. 1796
- 9 children named in order of mention in documentation:
1 Edward Broaddus
2 Catherine Broaddus [m. Edwin Motley d. 1809]
3 Thomas Broaddus Jr.
4 Elizabeth Broaddus [m. Golden Puller d. aft. 1803]
5 Mordecai Broaddus d. aft. 1805
6 John Broaddus
7 Redd Broaddus - never married died before 1796
8 Nancy Broaddus [m. Robert Sale]
9 Sally Broaddus - never married died before 1796

I don't know about George Turner yet, but I'll look. Gina
