Johann Justus Freunds birthplace is correct Oberhülsa. The Freunds were an old family in the parish Hülsa. 1639 lived in Steindorf, a neighbourvillage to Hülsa, Kleinhans Freundt, Johannes Freundts Relicta (orphans) and in the neighbourfarm Rückersfeld Andreas, Simon and Margartha Freundt.
The handwritten churchbook of the parish Hülsa from 1676 until 1830 is transscript in latintypes from Mr. Lothar Ide, Sondheimer Straße 1 in Homberg-Efze (Wernswig). After 1830 you can research in the Church Archive in Kassel, Landeskirchliches Archiv der Evangelischen Kirche von Kurhessen und Waldeck, Lessingstraße 13, D-34119 Kassel.
