DeRENZIE/ FULLERTON/ DUNNE Ireland

Hi,
I am researching my FULLERTON ancestors. William FULLERTON (b.c.1815) m.c.1839 Mary DUNNE (b.c.1819).
William and Mary emigrated to Melbourne, Australia in 1840 on the "Himalaya". The "Himalaya" Passenger list says they were from County Kildare, Ireland. I have been unable to find any details of their parents or birth place from any sources.

2 of William and Mary's grandchildren have the name De Renzie.

De Renzie Percival FULLERTON and
John Percival De Renzie BROWN.

There is a family story that someone (a FULLERTON or a DUNNE??) was in the "Spanish War" (The Peninsula War perhaps?) and met and married a girl named Marcella DeRENZIE. I haven't been able to find any evidence that DeRENZIE is Spanish, and there do seem to be DeRENZIE's from Ireland...
Any help with this mystery would be most appreciated!

Thanks,
Aillin,
Australia

Can't help you with dunnes and fullertons, but Irish De Renzis, yes. Try this, obtained from the mcguinness site on 'Who is the mother of Thomas Palmer?': Ryall, Charles W. 2001a. "Descendants of Mathew de Renzi, of Cloghbamen." Available at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com (30 March).

I have found out that my Fullertons and Dunnes probably come from the Clane area of County Kildare. Fullerton may actually be Fullard or Folliard.
