Vickers Limited - 1914-18

I have been researching the names on a memorial which remembers the men who died in service at a company called Vickers Limited when the great war was fought. Vickers was a steelworks which dominated the Brightside area of Sheffield. The men listed worked for this company and died in service during world war one.

The result of this research can be found on my website

There are military and family details relating to Charles Henry Hallas. Please feel free to check it out. I'd like to know more about his family if possible. he lived in Attercliffe, Sheffield and was born in Sheffield, 1883. Can anybody tell me who his parents are?

If anybody can give me more information it would be great

Regards, Robert.

Tonight I asked Mrs. Wendy B. Hallas about her ancestors and she told me they were from England. Mrs Hallas lives in Vermont and is touring in Brazil at the moment. I will ask her to enter in contact with you.

Greetings from Brazil.
