Searching for Hoofards

I am trying to find info on my geneology. I once talked to Cindy Hoofard about her relatives, but then never really got an answer back as to what she knew or if she got any info from my family out in California. All I know is that my grandfather was Martin Robert Hoofard. He had a brother named Walt and I believe Aunt Ivey was their cousin. My dad and mother once went to a Hoofard family reunion in Northern California and brought back a picture of Hoofard brothers from the Wynnewood Oklahoma area. One of these brothers I believe was my grandfather's father. I haven't seen this picture in a while, but I believe there were eight to twelve brothers, maybe a sister or two, in the picture. It was in black and white. I also heard of story of one of the brothers in the picture going to jail for killing a man. Does this sound familiar to anyone? My father is Rodney Lee Hoofard and he has one brother, Martin Morris Hoofard. They have four sisters, but only two are actually from my grandfather Martin; Gwen and Jackie...the latter is my dad's twin. She has passed away as well as grandpa, but the rest are still alive. My name is Timothy Lee Hoofard and I have one brother, three sisters and two sons. My brother is Robert Todd...my sisters are Kathie Sue, Karen Darlene and Kirsty Lynn. My sons are Brandon Keith and Jason Scott. Jason goes by the last name of Moore now because he was adopted by his step-dad. My brother Robert has two boys named Dallas and Dalton and Kirsty has three children; Kirissa, Kayla and Kyle. Kirsty's married name is Hardwick and Kathie's married name is Barber. Karen is still a Hoofard, so far. She is supposed to be getting married soon. It is nice to know there are so many Hoofards out there, but I am not sure which ones are in my upline after grandpa. If there is anyone who might know who Martin Robert's father was or who Ivey's father and brothers were, then I might have a clue. My e-mail is timhoofard@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance for any info.

My great-grandfather was the Sheriff of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, so I was told. I too am having a very hard time finding my Hoofard relatives. My grandmother's maiden name was Bertha Jane Hoofard. She was born in 1899. She had a brother, Tommy Hoofard and a sister Louise. I would love to see the picture of the Hoofard brothers from Wynnewood.

Go to Facebook.com and search for friends under Hoofard and you will find more than you bargained for! Btw I believe my grandfather may have been brother to Tom or nephew of Tom. Cynthia Hoofard or Ray Hoofard would know better...or my mom. You can find them all on my Facebook page. Tim Hoofard or Kowboy Tim. Have a great day!

Hello Alice,

I am your second cousin once removed. I have your mom as Bertha Ann Hoofard in my records. I will need to change her middle name. I have your father as Charles Blevins, is this correct? Bertha's father is William Hoofard & Ida Woodruff. I have quite a bit of information that I am willing to share. Do you have any old pictures or other information. I have been absent from the genealogy scene for 9 months or so, so I am behind on my correspondence.

There is a Hoofard renunion June 18, 19, 20 in Red Bluff California in some building in the town. The organizers have yet to send out mailings with the information. You may be able to find some information on FaceBook.

You may contact me at cooper.genealogy@gmail.com if you want to exchange info.

Hello.

Alice is your second cousin once removed. Tim your grandfather is Martin Robert Hoofard, born July 5, 1899. I do not know your grandmother's name, do you know it and have information about her? Your grandfather's siblings are: Walter Clyde Hoofard and William Hoofard. He also had three step-sisters, Maimie Morris, Mandy Morris, and Minnie Morris. Your great-grandfather is Rober Earl Hoffart. He was married to Alice (maiden name unknown) Morris. Robert Earl's father is Joseph Hoffard and mother is Mary Barnhart. Robert's full sibings Include Hugh Hoffart, Walther H. Hoffart (my direct ancestor) and George Washington Hoffart. There are many other siblings. Joseph had a second wife, Elizabeth Barnhart. I do not quite have it straight who was the mother to each child.

There is supposedly a Hoofard family reunion in Red Bluff on June 18, 19, 20. The organziers have yet to mail out any information on it. You may find some information at the FaceBook page that you mentioned, but I have not had anly luck in getting any. A large percentage of Hoofard's do not use the internet, let alone FaceBook so I do not know how people are going to know about the reunion.

If you would like to exchange info, you may contact me at cooper.genealogy at gmail.com. We are 3rd cousins. If you see the name Hoofard, Hoffart, & Hoffard in the United States, you are related to them, you just have to figure out how.

My grandmother was Bertha Jane Hoofard. My grandfather was Richard Walter Blevins. I think Bertha's father was George Hoofard and Ida was her mother.

What are your Hoofard ancestors' names? Thanks for the information. Good to know a new cousin!
