I am looking for people related to Elizabeth Moormann and her husband Bernard Michael. They were married in Borringhausen, Oldenburg, Germany in November of 1820. Their son Johan Bernard Joseph Michael emigrated to Ohio and then Minnesota in 1856. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

No help here on your search. What is amazing is that my Grandfather also comes from the same area in Germany. He immigrated to Canada (Saskatchewan) aroud the turn of the century. I have noticed that the surname Moormann is not that common, so maybe there is a relationship way back somewhere. My dad never spoke much of his father so I am not very helpful here. The name would have been George. Good luck in your search.

i to am looking for moormanns with 2 ens freiderich but i thaught that you might want to know that the family i am searching half have the last name moorman and the other half moormann some of them dropped off the last en in the name. john frederick moorman and lewis frederick moormann are brothers.

I am looking for parents, siblings of Maria Agnes Moormann who was born in Dummelhousen, Oldenburg, Germany in 1826. She married Johann Bernard Rottinghaus in Damme, Germany in 1850. They and their children emigrated to the US in 1877. They settled and are buried in Nemaha Co. Kansas. Thank you for any information.
