Our society is in the process of updating the 1983 cemetery book. We hope to have it finished by 2004.
Our meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm, except Dec, July and Aug, alternating meeting places at the Kenai Library and the Family History Center in Soldotna. We also have a research help session on the second Saturday of the month at the Kenai Library from 1-3 pm.

I am looking for any information on Marion Mishakoff, born in Kenai around 1944.

You didn't mention whether Marion Mishakoff was still alive?
I have an Alex, Doris, Leon, Marina, Mildred, Musick, Tonya, Xena and a Nick Mishakoff buried in the Kenai area.

Thank you so much for your prompt response. Marion is deceased. Marina is her chuch name and I didn't know which name would be used. Her parents are Nick and Doris. Can you share with me the date of her death and if known where she may have died?
My son thought she was buried in Tyonek, would you know if she had been moved to Kenai?
Any information you can share about her would be appreciated. He doesn't know her birth date, but we think she was born in Kenai.

You have been so kind, thank you very much.
I have no experience really in genealogy and there has been a lot of trial and error.
Would it be possible for you to share with me how to obtain a copy of the death certificate or the will? Still looking for other
clues, such as other children or marriages.
We do know that there is a sister or half sister that is older. We have been in touch with her and there appears to be another sister/half sister or a child she helped raise.
Again, thank you for the information that you have shared. Any advice you can give me to continue to learn of his family would be appreciated.

Do you know where the records are being kept for the church located on Tyonek (it no longer has services), but is kept up by one of the family?
