Hobby's Regiment

I found a number of Minnerly (spelling variations; Minnes, Minner, Minerly, Minnelay) ancestors from Westchester County listed as members of Hobby's Regiment of NYS Militia during the War of 1812. I wonder if anyone has any info on this unit? Who was Hobby? Were they involved in any skirmishes?

Did you ever find info on Hobby's regiment. Internet searches show plenty of individuals who were on the rolls of this regiment of the New York Militia, mainly coming from Westchester County, but I can't find anything about the regiment itself.

I obviously didn't look hard enough. Lt. Col. David Hobby commanded the 33rd Infantry Regiment of the New York Militia. I'll keep looking for more.
