Looking for info on Harrison Allison. He was said
to be born Nov 1805 in Burke Co. Later moved
to Macon and Cherokee counties where he lived
with his son and grandson, both named John
William Allison. Another child was named
Nathah who died in the 1900's in Monroe, NC.
Need name of Harrison's parents, wife and other
children.
Second wife was Mrs. Mary Patton but they had no
children.
Harrison died 1880 and is buried in Macon Co. NC.
Any leads appreciated

I am trying to discover the parents of this Harris(on) Allison. I have found him in censuses from 1830 to 1880 except for 1850. Have you found his parents or an 1850 census record?

It might be worth while to follow descendants of a Capt William Allison, Wilkes County down and see if there is an intersection. Capt William is an ancestor of mine through his son Thomas, and his granddaughter Elizabeth "Betsy" Allison who married Hiram Pipes. William was born in Cecil County, Md. and moved to Wilkes County. Fought in Rev War. Died 2/1818. Allow I don't see a listing for a Harrison, perhaps one of his children named a son Harrison. The use of the William name might be significant. Happy hunting!
