I am looking for information on these two men.
Peder Pederson was born 19 Apr 1859 in Norway and was married to Marie Christinson born in 1825 in Norwy. They had the following children: Martin, born Aug 1886 in IL; Hilda B., born Feb 1890 in SD; Helga P., born Aug 1891 in SD; and Carl H. born Aug 1898 in SD. They are found in the 1900 census of Mt. Haaken/Hagen Pederson was born 13 Sep 1852 in Norway, died 5 Feb 1929 in Brookings Co., SD. He was married to Christine last name unknown. They had the following children all born in IL. Martha born Dec 1884;Ellen G. born Jan 1891; Clara M. born Aug 1893; and Bertha M. born Jan 1895. They too are found in the 1900 census of Mt. Sinai, Brookings Co., SD.

The other siblings of the two brothers are: Mathea Pederson (Mrs. Halver Halverson); Pauline & Helmine (twins); Helmine; Borre; Hans Christian Pederson. Their parents were, Martin Pedersen and Hellene Haagensdatter.

They are my grandmothers brothers and I would love to find more information on them.

Also, The family lived in Lake Sinai, Brookings Co., SD

Marie Christinson is listed as born in 1858 not 1825 in 1900 census

Peder and Maried state they were married in USA and probably IL since first child born IL

Haaken is listed as Hogan in 1900, 1910 and 1920 US
census

Haaken's wife Christine was born in Sweden.

In Norway parents are Martin Petersen and Hellen Kaakensdatter. Children are listed with patronimic name of Martinsen or Martinsdatter.

Hope some of this helps.

You can go to www.genforum.com and post what you know about Parents and chidren and where they are from and someone will help you locate them on Norweigian census

Also if you have problems you can email me at reblady@flash.net and I will help you access Norway records

You do not mention where the two brothers died but if you contact Brenda Behand from the Brookings Co. SD genealogy society she will do a lookup in County newpapers to see if there is a obituary for them.
