Where do I find 1860's Newfoundland info?

Where do I find 1860's Newfoundland info?

Surnames: Leydon/Lyden and Horrell
I'm trying to narrow down the results I get while searching for James Leydon and Mary Horrell Leydon, both born in Newfoundland. Although I know Newfoundland is in Canada now, I'm searching for records from the 1850's & 60's when it was still a British colony. I thought the records would be in UK records, but I can't find Newfoundland info in either Canadian or UK databases. Does anyone know where I might find Newfoundland info? I'm not sure if I'm just looking in the wrong places. I've also looked in the Newfoundland links on familysearch.org, but I haven't been able to find anything on the people I'm searching for yet. Thanks for any help!

Hi!

I can understand your issues with your research so, with that in mind, you can try the following:

1) Newfoundland Grand Banks - ngb.chebucto.org

2) Newfoundland Canada GenWeb - nl.canadagenweb.org

Good luck! :)
