many - many FRY/FREY sons - looking for the father of Christopher FRY/FREY
Could the following be this Christopher FRY/FREY, father ???

John FRY that passed away in Northumberland Co. - Penn Township
around 1812 to 1815. It is also interesting that Christopher FRY/FREY
appeared in Lycoming Co... only after this date.

John FRY / FREY
1790 Census - Northumberland Co., Pa.
= 1 Male (16 Years Plus)
= 4 Males (Below 16 Years of Age) (one of these sons were named:
= 2 Females Chris or Christopher)

John FRY (also Frey) lived in Penn Township as early as 1776. In 1781,
he was taxed with 100 acres and personal property. On September 26, 1776,
he was a private in the 1st Company, 4th Battalion of the Northumberland Co.
Militia.

It is interesting that even though a Chris. FRY was mentioned for the
area that after his father's death that their is NO Chris. FRY / FREY in
this Penn. Twp. area (Snyder Co. - ?) area of Northumberland Co.
Could this be the Christopher FRY, that after the death of his father,
he then moved to Penn Twp., Lycoming Co. (?)

If this John FRY, is the one... would like to know his Ancestry !

Hopefully, I'm not way off, if I am please help me !

Thanks,
Dave Stone - (keyna_s@yahoo.com)

The John FRY that moved on to Licking County, OH
- did NOT have a son named Christopher.

Dave, I am sorry I can't help you with the John Fry you are looking into, but I wonder what you know of the John Fry that moved on to Licking, Ohio?

My brick wall is Jonathan (Fry?) Freer who married a Hannah Swords and had children in Ohio between 1805 and 1815. I have the names of at least two of the children. There is a marriage record for Jonathan Fry and Anne Seward about 1803 in Warren Co. Could this be the John Fry you know of? Any help would be appreciated.

Dave,
I am a descendant of John Henry Frey b 1732. I live a few miles away from where he moved to in Salem Township, Westmoreland County, PA. My maiden name was Frye. I have been searching for his parents and siblings. Have you ever come across any of that info? I don't have any info on a Christopher, sorry.

Thank you,
