If the children are: Orville, Mary, Barbara, Mae, Wilfred, Raymond, and Robert then Fred is a brother of my grandfather: LEON Cartier.

Sorry, my last reply was wrong. Was one of Frank's children named: VENANCE. He was my great grandfather.

Hi cousin! Our name was eventually changed to "Cartier" too. I'm not sure if it was Venance or his son Leon who did it. But my dad always remembers his name as "Cartier". Finding information about my "Cartier"-side is hard because my father remembers that there was a fire in Grande Pointe when he was a child and the church records were burnt. Thank you for all this information.
Let me know if you're interested in the Venance branch (warning: it's huge).

Yes, I would. I have had contact with another cousin from Venances line - Dean Russo. I would be happy to send you what I have and look forward to having your line. Wendy

Hi Wendy
I've been reading your past emails. I'm probably a distant cousin. I'm the daughter of Ovila, son of Leon, son of Venance. My father passed away this year. We found an old picture of all of Venance's sons and daughters and their spouses. My Dad's sister, Adeline identified all the couples. If you would like me to email the picture, just ask. My search for my ancesters ended the same place as you with Jacques Nouvion dit SansCartier 1763.
Hope to hear from you
Bev

hi there I have been working on my husband's family tree for a little over a year or so.
It seems we are connected here. *S*
His grandfather was Rufus Cartier...son of Leon..grandson of Venance.

If you would be so willing as to share those photos and any additional info you have, I sure would appreciate it. *S*

Much appreciated, have a great weekend..hope to hear from you.
