Hi Iynda Worth
I dont know if i can be of any help, but in my Lamb family tree I can go back to 1881 census and then some, I do have an uncle Charles Lamb but he was born in early 1900 and had no children, now there might be an earlier Charles that i have not found yet, My great grand father was John E Lamb, in the 1881 census he was listed as 33 years of age and came from Hastings Sussex England, his wife was Harriet Helmsley, they had 7 children, Mary J , Sarah M , Henry E (my grandfather, he came to Canada) Elizabeth , William, Thomas, Albert.
If this is any help let me know, It is a long shot to be sure.

The Charles Lamb I am seeking was born 1775-1834. Thank you for your information, perhaps we will be able to merge the names after I have found further information.
Thanks for replying.

I come from the Lambe/Lamb family too and can find little on Charles. I have Charles Lamb b. Feb 10, 1775 died 12/27/1834 in Edmonton England. father John (Clerk) 1738-1799 and mother Elizabeth Fields. Siblings were John, Mary 1764-1847 and another sibling. The rest of the childrn about 5 didn't survive. There was an Aunt Sarah Lamb called Hetty. Other then this I can't connect them to any of the other Lamb members. I come from John Lambe abt 1458, Richard Lambe Before 1490, Thomas Lamb about 1520, Henry Lambe abt 1554, Thomas Lambe 1570-1609, Thoams Lamb 1596-1646, Samuel Lamb 1685-1728, Brazillai Lamb 1712-1752, Joseph Lamb 1747-1823, Oliver Lamb 1783-1865, Thomas Lamb 1811-1896, Elmira Lamb/Hill 1845-1922 Hill is my maiden name.

If you type Charles Lamb into Wikipedia there is a lot of information there as well. I am researching lamb at the moment but don't think he is part of my tree as far as I have found to date!
Happy new Year

I too am a descendent of Richard Lamb(e) 1490. Saw your post with a father John Lambe 1458. Do you have more information on him? Where was he born, live, die, marriage, children, etc? This is the first I've heard of him. My Lambs go Richard to Thomas to Henry to Thomas Sr to Thomas Jr down to Lowe Lamb in mid to late 1800's when his daughter married a Thompson in North Carolina. Thanks for your help in this exciting welding of families.
