I am looking for info on the Cheney family, may have started in Hawkesbury, moved to Russell Co, then Morewood. I am looking for info about Dexter (Deck) Cheney and his family. He married my great aunt, Katherine Wyatt in about 1890, and had 3 children, Maurice, Walter, and Evelyn. They lived in Morewood, then moved to Mountain. There are other Cheneys in Morewood and I see references to Cheneys in Prescott and Vankleek Hill, as well as Russell Co. Deck's father may have been Ogden Cheney, other relations might be George, James and Sylvester. Can anyone help make a connection?

I think I found the same family of Cheney's, I grew up in the villiage of Mountain, Ont and we had a hired man Earl Bylow (spelling of last name may not be excact)but close. I remember meeting his sister from Morewood. Her name was Massey who was married to a Cheney.There is also a couple of families still live around Morewood.
There is also a branch of Cheney's that went into Stormont, near Cornwall around 1880 that married into the Roach/Roche
family. I have several records on these families. They marry into many different french families
